Root Canal Treatment

A root canal is done when decay, fractures, or trauma cause injury to the nerve of the tooth. Root canal treatment removes the nerve from the tooth and cleans the canal to remove the bacteria. We then use a biocompatible material called gutta percha to seal the canal. A crown is typically recommended after root canal treatment to give the tooth strength and prevent breakage.
